Anita G. Stern
Nurse Practitioner
RNC, MSN, WHNP


Anita received her master of science degree in nursing in the Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner Program at the Columbia University School of Nursing. Her extensive background includes more than 20 years as a registered nurse in labor and delivery, neonatal intensive care unit, emergency room and surgical recovery room. Anita, who is Board-Certified as a women’s health nurse practitioner (WHNP), offers office-based OB/GYN care to patients from puberty to menopause. In this role, Anita has provided skilled care to thousands of women in settings that range from private offices to busy hospital clinics.

 
Cristina Giambalvo
Nurse Midwife
CNM, MSN


Cris, who is Board-Certified as both a nurse midwife and a women’s health nurse practitioner, comes to The Center for Women’s Health with extensive experience in providing comprehensive OB/GYN care to women of all ages, including the delivery of well over a thousand babies. Drawing on her midwifery background, Cris empowers women through education and support, helping them to make intelligent choices regarding their health and well-being. Cris, who received her advanced practice nursing degrees from the renowned University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing in Philadelphia, PA, is also a certified fitness instructor and a personal trainer.

 
Kathy Connolly,
Nurse Practitioner
and Clinical Coordinator
FNP-BC, MSN


Kathie Connolly, our Clinical Coordinator since 2005, has completed the rigorous training program required to become a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner. As a result, Kathie is now licensed to treat patients who present with a variety of problems – from routine annual primary care exams to specific medical complaints – right here in the office. Furthermore, Kathie will also be able to evaluate pregnant patients with non-obstetrical problems, such as gastroenteritis, influenza, strep throat and fever. Note that, in addition to serving in this new role, Kathie will still continue to work as Clinical Coordinator.
